Labrador Retriever - Scrappy-local 5-18-2013 - Large - Adult
Scrappy and Miley (just adopted!!) lost their home when their owners could not afford to stay any longer and had to move in with extended family. They had been rescued from the Brownsville, TN shelter in January 2012 as puppies that were about to be euthanized. They have been outside dogs all entire life. The family had a fenced in yard and that is where the dogs lived. They never had them in the house.
When they first came to our rescue they were a bit scared because they had never seen other people except for the owners and their kids. It took them about a week to feel comfortable and now they jump up and are so excited to see their foster mom.
They LOVE the kiddie pool and stay in it most of the time!! They are very friendly but are still a bit skittish. They get along great with other dogs. They are not fence jumpers or diggers.
Scrappy could use some training and obedience classes and with patience and understanding will make a wonderful family dog!!! Scrappy is up to date on all shots, HW negative and on preventative and neutered.
Scrappy has just been transported to New England for adoption (5/17/13) from TN.
His adoption donation is $300 which includes the transport fee and micro chip.
